He was born on July 1, 1979 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the son of Evelyn Cruz of Beacon and the late Ramon Luis Pacheco.
Pedro graduated from high school and received an associate’s degree. He was a caseworker for Mental Health of America in Beacon before his illness. According to his obituary, Pedro was a loving son, brother, uncle and cousin. He was a great friend to many and always willing to help. He was a big fan of wrestling and loved to watch the shows. He was also a dedicated member of the Casa de Avivamiento Church in Beacon.
In addition to his mother, Pedro is survived by his brothers, Reinaldo Pantojas and wife, Vanessa; Alfred Pantojas and his wife, Lauren, both of Tennessee; Freddy Pantojas and his wife, Arline Grullon; and Julio Pantojas and his wife, Heledy, both of Beacon; his nieces and nephews Majlis, Adryanna, Julian, Evan, Nilah and Maiya; his grandmother, Andrea Cruz Vasquez of Beacon; his sister-in-law, Katrina Pantojas of Beacon; his uncles Ricardo Cruz, Tommy Cruz and Johnny Cruz; his aunts, Carmen Rodriguez, Margarita Cruz and Iris Cruz; and his numerous cousins.
In addition to his father, Pedro was predeceased by his step-father, Reinaldo Pantojas, his brother, Joseph Pantojas.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 7 at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman St. in Beacon where a funeral service led by Pastor Eduardo Herrera will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
